Application & Scholarship Information

Who are our students?

Penumbra deliberately recruits a diverse body of students, representing a wide range of ages, ethnic and racial backgrounds, interest and experience. Some of the students admitted into the program have had very little theatrical training but are strong leaders in their communities. Others began theatre training quite young but have never before considered it as a means to practice social change.

This application is your opportunity to tell us about you! 

   


Steps for Applicants:
  1. Fill out application.
  2. You will receive confirmation via email that your application was received.
  3. Students will be notified of their acceptance via mail the week of May 23, 2011.
  4. If you are not accepted to this year's program, you will receive a detailed letter explaining our decision by June 3, 2011.
  5. If you have any questions while filling out your application, or after you've turned it in, please call Education Director Sarah Bellamy at 651-288-6791.

The tuition for the four week program is $400.00.  This includes classes and registration.

Tuition is due at the mandatory parent meeting on June 26, 2011 for accepted students. Please submit payment in the form of cash, check, or credit card. Please do not send any form of payment until you have received a letter of acceptance into the program.

Penumbra Theatre Company offers Angel Scholarships to students in need who meet scholarship requirements. In order to be considered for an Angel Scholarship you must complete the scholarship information at the end of your application.
