Get Ready Extended through July 22!
Penumbra ends its 30th Anniversary with a bang! Audiences and critics alike praise the vocal talents of the performers and the musical wonder of the band. The chemistry of the all-star ensemble is spectacular! Rohan Preston of the Star Tribune said, “There is such electricity and divine power in their voices on the doo-wop number “I Call it Love,” or on such numbers as “Got to Get to Know Her” and “Love on Your Side,” that it was easy to be swept away.” He ends his review stating that Penumbra’s Get Ready, “Is a genuine hit!” Dominic Papatola from the Pioneer Press extols the vocal talent on stage, noting the “gritty, vocally acrobatic attack on the blues” of Jamecia Bennett, and compliments the “slick onstage band consisting of Sanford Moore, Steven Jennings and James A. Young.” He ends his review with, “Kick back and let the good times roll.” Get Ready is playing now through July 22!
